In the coming age of AI analytics, systems can already help analyze vast amounts of data and results, even generate alerts, and push real-time notifications through messaging apps. Communication between access control components must break free from the old, traditional client-server access control software and overly closed software systems — integration is the only way forward …..by Mr.Q

COVID-19 was first discovered inChinain late 2019, then spread rapidly to many countries around the world in early 2020, gradually becoming a globalpandemic, causing enormous disruption and fundamentally changing the way people live. “Mask + Temperature Screening” became a necessity anywhere people came and went.
“Please put on your mask,” “Excuse me, let me check your temperature,” “Please sanitize your hands” — over this period, these have become an almost mandatory ritual before entering any venue. In the early days of the pandemic, forehead thermometers were everywhere, carried by hand, until people realized that manually checking everyone one by one was time-consuming, labor-intensive, and still carried the risk of close person-to-person contact. By the middle of the pandemic, it became common to see a thermal camera set up at the entrance of many venues — but a staff member still had to be stationed there, constantly watching for anyone without a mask or with an elevated temperature. But were these observations actually recorded reliably? And even if they were, how could mountains of paper records be stored and used? Over the past year and a half, many people have likely faced exactly this problem.
In this issue, Mr.Q introduces a solution for taking contactless temperature measurements while automatically storing every record, generating reports, and managing access control.
Pro-Link's Facial Recognition Temperature Screening Access Control Management Platform — ACMS (Access Control Management System)
Let Mr.Q walk you through what Pro-Link's ACMS access control management platform can do.

● First, Pro-Link's ACMS uses a fully web-based architecture, supporting HTML5 and cross-platform operation, with no components to install for video playback. It uses HTTPS encrypted transmission to protect facial data and personal information security.
The advantage of being web-based is that you don't need to go to a specific server or computer to set up face, department, or permission records.

● ACMS has a built-in video processing engine, which is also why it can integrate with a VMS. Through this video integration, we can pull a 10-second clip before and after any event directly into the access control server — no need to install IE, a media player, or go back into the surveillance system to view the footage immediately. You can even confirm via Line Notify push notifications, with check-in/clock-in records, images, videos, text, or hyperlinks for directly viewing event footage. This is also widely used today for campus attendance and real-time temperature checks at arrival time.

●The Ministry of Labor emphasizes that, under current regulations, rest days and off days must still be scheduled on a 7-day cycle — in other words, employees cannot work seven consecutive days. In this regard, Pro-Link's ACMS automatically calculates and warns employers whenever an employee works more than seven consecutive days. Once an employee exceeds seven consecutive workdays, Line automatically notifies the manager. This not only protects workers' rights but also ensures employees get adequate rest, improving future work efficiency.

● Pro-Link's ACMS has also been widely introduced into construction site management, where safety management is extremely important. ACMS's construction site management application uses facial recognition technology to keep complete records — you can see every worker ID record, which department they belong to (low-voltage or plumbing/electrical), how many people have entered, with photos and records displayed in real time. If an unrecognized face appears, the system immediately flags the anomaly, while also detecting and displaying body temperature at the same time — all completely contactless.

● ACMS also has a unique feature — meeting room management
Resources are limited — every company's resources are limited, so how can management make the most of them and understand utilization? Facial recognition, card swiping, and other AI technologies can help. For example, a tablet mounted outside a meeting room lets you see who's using it in each upcoming time slot and how much time is booked. All of this can be reserved online through ACMS and automatically marked on the calendar. Afterward, the status of every meeting room can be instantly pulled up from the backend and exported as a report — a huge efficiency boost, especially for general affairs and administrative staff.

Having covered so many of Pro-Link ACMS's features, let's talk about a recent project: a “dual-door access control architecture for a server room.” Our partner on this project was CyberLink's FaceMe Security, combined with Pro-Link's ACMS access control management platform.
